My system is also from the 70s mostly although I have "retired" some equipment for space.

I use a Harmon kardon receiver now for that reason.
*Realistic linear tracking turntable

*JVC dual cassette deck

Retired equipment:
*Marantz 3500 pre amp

We just have a single cd with radio black Memorex from Wmart. The $400 Sony system went out after 2 years, so I gave up trying to have anything elaborate. I sort of miss cassettes and 8 Tracks to be honest. After I bought the radio to replace the worn OEM in our car I saw a 2000 Impala cd/cassette on ebay for the same price though it was out of a wrecked car.
