What stereo amplifier/receiver?

Use Tripp-Lite Isotel Ultra 6 surge protectors with 3 filtered banks of 50db (2) , 75db (2) and 100db (2) for equipment .

Dreams - Fleetwood Mac - compare vinyl to CD. Get back with me.
Try out this site:

Will show the amount of compression (or lack there of) in different album releases for different formats. It’s really amazing how certain CD’s or vinyl releases will have a ton of headroom while others are fully compressed garbage (same artist & album).

Close to 30 years old . A must have as L.P. or other form of recording .

Got the speakers and phono hooked up. Sound is amazing! Steely Dan LP from the 80s. Cleaned the record first of course.

Fake rack is open in back and sides of back plus 4” clearance is plenty

Steely Dan/Donald Fagan albums were popular where they sold audio equipment due to their excellent recordings. Quincy Jones stuff was right there also. RIP Quincy!

I have the STEELY DAN - Citizen Steely Dan '72 - '80 4 cd disc set . Like you said , they're very good recordings . The Donald Fagen solos too . Also have the 20+ year old cassette of STEELY DAN - " Can't Buy A Thrill " and that has great sound . Another is Paul McCartney - " RAM " which is on a 30+ year old cassette . May give them a listen this weekend on the YAMAHA KX-W592 dual cassette deck that's 25+ years old . Hopefully they'll still play .

When I was in High School, "Can't Buy A Thrill" was my fav. Played it on a Panasonic 8 Track.

Cassettes...Now you brought back memories. (I still have ones new, never opened.) Do you remember the ones with miniature metal reels inside to mimic reel to reel tape deck reels? I believe Maxell had them. Fun times and DBX noise reduction. Nakamichi had some serious cassette decks.

I've not seen a "stereo" shop on the west coast for years.

Leo's Stereo? Remember them? Bankrupt around 1991
They're gone everywhere l believe. Even places like Circuit City, out of business for decades, but Best Buy...used to have those acoustically sealed listening rooms for the better gear and speakers they sold. Ever been in a Best Buy recently? Gone are almost all TVs mounted side x side, those sound rooms...long gone.
They've become a walk in warehouse without the racking. Basically an online order pickup point for whatever TV, audio, tech stuff, appliances. Just boxes of merchandise stacked on the floor.
Costco does a better job of displaying appliances and TVs.
I don't know where one would go to listen to high end audio gear now.

2ch hifi shops are still around. Have multiple within 30min of my house. I’m sure if you guys did some internet searches for your area you’d find something around you.

I hope you enjoy your system as much as I do mine. I guess it's my hobby when I'm home alone, when the wife is here the tv plays through it.
So cool being able to choose 3 media whenever I want they all sound so good

I moved my sub woofing woofer this AM. Got lucky- sound is improved. Was near an outside wall now close to wall between closets in my office
