Raybestos Advanced Technology/NAPA Ultra Premium are my go-to choice for non-OE aftermarket rotor applications; have had issues with past casting origin consistency with Centric Premiums. Of course if OEM rotors are reasonable, then I'd go with those. I like Rockauto, but their shipping on rotors kills any savings for me.

Of the 4 Centric Premuim(E-Coat painted)Rotors I put on my daughters mazda3, the driver front(took a while to fugure which one) warped in just over the 3 months(90 days) that Centric warrants them. I replaced it(just the one) with a WearEver and it's been great!

I've been hearing lots of comments like this about Centric Prem Rotors but prior, I never had any issues with Centric.

OE rotors are made in Japan. At $86 apiece at the local dealer, they're a pretty penny.

I hate to say it, but ordering white-box Chinesium rotors off RockAuto and replacing more frequently is still cheaper. Even picking up white-box Chinese rotors locally at AAP with a discount code will net me two sets of rotors for what I'd spend on a single set of OE rotors.

The Centric Prem rotors I've had issues with in the past were all cast in China. The ones I got that were cast in Taiwan are still performing well. That I cannot count on a pair to be cast in the same place is reason enough for me to not necessarily make the Centric Prems a go-to rotor, although for the Taiwan ones on the GF's IS250, I was quite impressed with the coating and machining quality.

Here are the EBC and Beck/Arnley rotors for this application (if my google research is accurate). These are likely not Chinese, but an email to the companies asking about these specific part numbers will verify the country of origin.

I just did a little googling. It looks like Amazon may be cheaper than Rock Auto for these parts, but it may vary depending on the OP's location. It's also worth checking out Summit or FCP import.

These ones will be made in China, most likely. Centric told me in an email a couple years ago that their rotors are cast in China and machined in the US. The last set of Raybestos rotors I bought were their Pro level and they were made in China.

Raybestos Advance Tech (their top-line rotor)

The top-line Centric rotor is part # 125.40021, but I don't know the best source for Centric rotors.

I emailed Beck/Arnley. They said their rotors for the Fit are made in Brazil. Makes sense, considering Honda manufactures the Fit in Brazil for South American markets. I'll end up going with the BA's, on the chance that they're helping Brazil's economy instead of China's.

Good choice on the Beck Arnley rotors, IMO. I've been really impressed with most of the BA parts I've bought. They've pretty much become my go-to brand for parts for our cars. They're quite affordable when purchased online and they're usually a big step above the regular stuff you can get at the local auto parts stores in quality and fit.

I posted pics of some of the BA stuff I've bought in this thread:

It may have to do with Honda making Fits in Brazil, but I think it may have more to do with the fact that BA sources many of their rotors from Fremax , a Brazilian rotor manufacturer. Fremax is an OE supplier for some brands, so who knows, perhaps they supply the rotors for the South American Fits. In the below video, they say something like 60% or more of their rotors are sourced from Fremax.

Anyway, this BA video shows what you should receive. They come in a neat plastic case instead of a cardboard box.

The relevant info on brake rotors starts at 7:50 in the video:

Update: I ended up delaying this project, but did get prodded by the garage that inspected the car. It passed, but barely.

The Brazilian-made rotors are some of the nicest-looking rotors I have seen. The casting is thick, the finish looks nice, and the rust-prone areas are coated. For $70 for the two, that is a decent price.

Centric Premium rotors are awesome. I like the black coating on the rotor hat for anit-rust, so you'll be able to get the wheels off in the future.

For the pads, consider Wagner Thermoquiet, Axxis Deluxe, or Akebono ProACT. Of course there is nothing wrong with OEM either.

Pics please! Did you buy BA pads as well?
