The rotors on our 2009 Fit are looking pretty sorry after several winters. I'd like to replace them when I do the front pads, since those will need to be done sooner rather than later. I'm in a debate whether I should go with Wearevers from Advance using a discount code or patronize the local, surprisingly reasonably priced Honda dealer for OEM replacements. Going OEM would likely be a bit more. I've had good luck with Wearever brake components before, and the price difference is substantial. Thoughts?

I'd get OEM parts in total except if you want to go with the Wearever rotors.

I like Brembo's. Every time I get auto store rotors I get pulsation in 15-20,000 miles. OEM or Brembo always last me 70,000 or more. IME Brembo's are about half of OEM cost.
The price of OEM rotors are around 50 bucks from www.bernardiparts.com plus shipping. You can bet that if bought at the dealer it'll be a whole lot more. Try and see who'll end up being cheaper in total.

If it matters to you, they were once made here in North America (USA or Canada, I forgot which specifically). I researched and found out that they are being made in China after 07-09 (again I forgot the specific year). I took a gamble in the hopes of getting one made here but I received rotors made in China.
I was reassured by the NAPA guy that although they are made in China, the quality is far superior than the next best rotors they sell which is the Premium rotors. He said the Ultra Premium was noticeably heavier.
Fit and finish is as good as OEM from what I felt/saw during my installation.

Compare the price of the WearEver(with code#) to the OE. There should be a HUGE savings and you may like'em!

After using Bendix, Brembo, Centric, Raybestos, Wagner rotors, I have tired WearEver Rotors again...So far, so good!
The counter person at my local AAP(who seem as sharp as our BITOG Brethren) told me the AAP/WearEver and Wagner come from the same factory. He says:
"They're all put in WHITE Boxes from the factory and thrown on a Pallet to be labeled at distribution and then, sent off to their final destination". "You pay a bit more for Wagner but, you get a bit better warranty(1 extra year)".
Look at the vents on the rotors and compare to your OE. I have even compared the WearEvers to the Wagner in store. It's only an eyeball test but, I believe he's right! Any other rotors from AAP would have to be ordered from an outside warehouse but, you can get Brembo at AAP and other brands too if you order them, IIRC!

The ones that give you the least runout, once installed.
I just got a set of wearever rotors for my kids Civic. ($50) The reviews are all 5 star on the AAP website. If the rotors were garbage they would not have many good reviews. Just do not over heat them when you bed in the brakes and they will be fine. I have never really had a bad set of rotors in a few decades but I always use my 30-30 bed in procedure. So the rotors don't get heat distorted.
I have had great luck with Raybestos Advanced Technology rotors & pads on my wife's Accord. It will be 2 years this summer they have been on and no problems whatsoever. They both wear very well, great braking action and pedal feel and almost zero dust. I would buy them again, got them at RockAuto as well.
I've had such good luck with Advance Auto's Wearever line that they are my default go-to for replacement brake parts. They are of very good quality regardless of country of origin and can be bought cheap using coupon codes.
Is there better and more expensive stuff available? Sure, but it's more than our daily-driven commuter cars need.

RockAuto might be the way to go on this one. $50 shipped plus a $10 rebate is the cheapest way to go yet.

Pretty much all rotors mentioned so far are nothing more than re-packaged, and sometimes painted Chinese white box parts.

What may be more telling is finding out where the OES Honda rotors are made. If they're made in the USA or in Canada or in Japan, it's likely that they're at least different from the Chinese rotors. Better or worse, I don't know, but at least different.
