I'm going to be running PP 5W30 in my Nissan 1.6L turbo. I'm trying to decide on an appropriate oil filter.

The choices i was thinking of are Napa Gold or Purolator Pure One. I'm not sure of price differences between the two yet.

What do you all think?

Well buy the one you find at the store, usually Napa is at the Napa storefront obviously, and the Puralotors are at most fine auto stores.

So basically, the closest one because they both very good filters either way

i like the napa or purolator classic in the winter the oil seems to flow better (everyone is going to chime in but that is what i hear when i start the engine cold (also on my oil guage) i have a custom oil guage installed on the tow truck

Both are the NAPA Gold (WIX) or PureOne are excellent filters. I prefere the NAPA Gold myself but, wouldn't drive an extra mile to get one over a PureOne

I will be going the standard Nissan OCI at 6K.

I noticed the holes on the Napa are smaller than on the PureOne - any concerns with this? Flow issues maybe?

My self i like seeing large center tube holes it just cry out "flow" but in this case no concerns the napa's will/do flow just fine.

Don't think you can go wrong with either, buy on price.

Just put a PL14610 P1 on an Acura RDX Turbo, near MM limit, ~5k OCI. Might not mean anything but, in some applications shown here, because of Wix thread end bypass, the P1 may have more media. Wouldn't be concerned about flow with either.
