I ran my 1999 Taurus on Pennzoil 5w-30 with excellent UOAs (except the 2 that had head gasket leaks..
) and would say a good dino oil like Pennzoil, Chevron, Castrol and a filter every 4-5k will do your Taurus well.. Or if you want to spend some $$, a blend will do the same.
Just pray who ever built my motor did not build yours...

PPS: All my UOAs for the Taurus are in the UOA area. Mine was a 2 valve but the bottom ends are the same.
