If so, then maybe a few short OCIs would then be in order, just to avoid overloading the oil's dispersant capabilities as well as the filter.
I've done this when I've bought used cars that showed deposit builup, and I can tell you that those who say that conventional oil by itself doesn't clean are wrong.
If you have no reason to suspect that the engine is dirty, the GM OLM is well validated and should be trusted.
Finally a correct answer and not a bla bla it'll be fine for 5K mi...
If it doesn't have deposit build up, run it 5K and don't worry...
