I may not have been a member here too long, but I feel that I have made some good friends here. Then there are those who just stick out and make an impression on you. I am wondering what BITOG member here has been that one that left an "impression" on you.

I think that member for me would have to be Bill in Utah. Because of his witty common sense approach, I am running the "deal" oil with no fear at all. I've decided that the car I wasn't going to change oil on (her car), will get Napa syn instead of M1. Doesn't sound like much, but it saves over ten bucks an oil change. To be honest, I'd still be running it if Bill did not leave that lasting mark on me.

I can think of others, but I think different BITOGers have different members they want to thank for leaving that "impression"......

im gonna have to say bill is great at the witty comments i will have to say jonny. obviously he's been around. oh an anyone here with any real inteligence. which is pretty much everyone

Bob, Terry, Patman, TooSlick, AeHaas, Pablo, buster, Bill from Utah, just to name a few.

And anyone who is willing to be humble about learning here w/o an attitude they know everything about oil. THOSE are the guys I enjoy reading as I learn the most from them.

I always liked Bruce,Bob,Garry,Terry,Molakule.....Their have been other's as well but off the top of my head....427.....(sp) I like his mind but not always his opinion he is super fast at math! In the early days I learned a lot from him when he would explain the mathmatics behind something! I passed Calc in H.S. with a C- and in College I got a solid B but in college it was Business Calc not the same as regular Calc.!! So I often forget major things. Their was even a time when me and Pablo got along great I even asked him for a recipe for Mongolian Beef if he had one at one point! So like any large family you will have your favorites but still enjoy most everyone if you have siblings you know you sometimes fight and might even not be nice at times but at the end of the day it is time to grow up be nice and go have a beer with your brother!

Agree.

Also:

- Mike Wan for brakes and acuras
- EKPolk for his past GC used oil analysis and Prius info
- GMan
- Sunruh for motorcycle oil
- GMBoy for anything GM related especially late model GM trucks
- Quattro Pete, Audi Junkie and Mori because I've enjoyed their posts
- StevieC because he's the most keen newbie I've ever seen
- Olympic for all those ultra-long XD-3 OCIs

- Obbop - because I loved his posts, I miss that guy!

...and more.

- and that awesome member who buys Saturns for $35, rebuilds them for $22 more and then puts another 60k miles on them and sells them for $2,200. Can't remember his name.

and BuickGN, because he's one of the few here who builds engines, and builds them to make double or more their factory output.

I love the diversity here.

Doug Hillary for me.

I have learned a great deal from him, even have one of his books.

I also respect BuickGN for his experience and ability to stick it out, and Gary for his experiments.

Molakule stands out for me. He took time in guiding me a while back. Basically, I feel like a misfit here. I do not know much about oil and many topics here. Mostly read and absorb what I can. But, it is the members who share their knowledge that keeps me coming back. Oh, OVERKILL, SteveC, ToyotaNSaturn and many others that guided me with computer knowledge. Built my first PC with their help. ToyotaNSaturn is pretty much the reason I came here. His used oil analysis with his Saturn's have been enlightening.

Doug Hillary because he's the real deal and a gentleman to boot.

Gary Allan because he's a great guy and a straight shooter.

And Johnny - that one needs no explanation.

I've learned a lot from all of their posts - and not just about oil, either.

BTW, what happened to Mori? His name isn't even in the User list.

I hate to say it, but he's banned.

Mine:

Saturn_Fan & Toyota&Saturn for helping me out for a long time to know Saturns and eventually buy one!

Pablo for being a great guy and genuinely helping me out on Amsoil products.

Buster, Gary Allan, Bill in Utah, Molakule, Terry, StevieC, Johnny, to say a few.
