What lube for air compressor piston and bore

I took my Q industries 12 volt air compressor apart yesterday to retap the threads for 1/4 NPT standard air fittings and found that the few times I ran it without the air filter really gunked up the internals.

Here is the piston cup:

I used spray silicon and q tips to clean the piston ring and Napa Syl glide to relube it, and the compressor works better than ever, but I wonder if there is a better product for the piston skirt cup/ seal and bore.
