Effective 1/1/11, OREGON state gasoline tax will go up by 6¢ to 30¢ per gallon. This will raise 300 million per year to repair roads and bridges.

WASHINGTON State is 36 cents and...
CALIORNIA is 46 per gallon.

I would be interested to know what your state gas tax is.

Not only we have highest tax at 65 cents a gallon, the special formula gasoline costs about 10-15 cents a gallon extra to refine. No wonder we have the highest gasoline price in the nation, except may be Hawaii and Alaska.

FL 51.6 cents/gal in FL. Gettin' rizzaped. We average the national average in gas price except at stations near major airports and some of the areas of Miami/Dade and Broward Counties.

Ihave asked the state of Nevada several times about this. I NEVER get a satisfactory answer--they don't know or won't say. I figure its about $.70 per gallon. Does anyone on this site know for sure? John--Las Vegas.

In Nevada, the combined State and Federal tax on gasoline is $0.515 per gallon. For Diesel fuel, it is $0.53 per gallon.

If anyone wants to know the very latest State and Provincial tax rates, here is the place to go...

International Fuel Tax Association Quarterly Fuel Tax Rates

Just remember to add the Federal tax on to the State numbers.

Too high. I love paying $3.25 a gallon...NOT! Then again, they did just repave many of the area's major roads and interstates.

according to that chart, PA is .31, and NJ is only .145. guess where everyone in the PA river border towns buys gas.
in Easton, PA, Phillipsburg, NJ is just across the river, and there is a gas station RIGHT on the other side of the toll free bridge. traffic was getting backed up so bad from cars immediately making left turns across traffic to get back to PA that they made left turns illegal out of the gas station.
lots of people got upset.

My weekly sheet from our supplier says unl. regular E10 2.18 w/o tax and 2.71 with tax so .53 tax
#2 ultra low sulfur premium diesel 2.37 w/o tax 2.94 w/tax so .57 on diesel
We dont pay the tax cuz we are a school fleet.

My wholesale prices as of last night were:

87 UNL 2.2915
91 PUL 2.4415
87 E10 2.2915
93 E10 2.4265
87 E85 2.2835

these prices include the $0.01/gallon UST trust fund tax. I normally have a price update by this time of the morning, and it's not uncommon for the price to change a half dozen times a day in a volatile market. I'm a small player, so I would expect the big guys to be able to get a better wholesale price than I get. This is for cheapo quickie store gas - junk I won't put in my cars but a lot of people do just to save a few pennies. I pay about 2.5 cents/gallon for transportation on top of these prices.

current taxes are (per gallon):

federal excise tax 0.184
fet credit for blended fuel (0.045)

in other words, 4.5 cents is knocked off the federal excise tax for E10 fuel. See above how the price of U87 and U87 E10 are in parity? That is very unusual around here, E10 is usually more expensive at the wholesale level.

oil spill liability tax 0.001710
arkansas motor fuel tax 0.17
ESF arkansas (another storage tank fund) 0.003

Big oil makes out pretty well, but when it comes to making out like a bandit on the sale of motor fuels, no one tops the government.

We pay 59 cents per litre tax.

* 48.524 cents - National Land Transport Fund
* 9.90 cents - ACC Motor Vehicle Account
* 0.66 cents - Local Authorities Fuel Tax
* 0.045 cents - Petroleum or Engine Fuels Monitoring Levy
and now 3 cents for ETS (emission Trading scheme.)
In addition, GST is collected on the overall price of fuel, which amounts to a 7.7 cents per litre "tax on taxes".

There are taxes at the pump on diesel, apart from GST and ETS.
