What is your ideal custom home?

Looks pretty close to perfect to me. Assuming it is a big square with lots of open garage in the back. Im sure the tall door is RV access...

Few of my neighbors have RV garage in separate structure masquerading as rough cut lumber barn. They are quite attractive.

That home looks like a business. Not sure why you would attach high bay to your home? It seriously lacks an appeal factor.
To each their own but it is not a business and with further investigation you will see half the doors are high enough to bring motorhomes ,race car trailers on one side and daily vehicles on the other side with presumably an open area in the corner between for shop equipment. Pretty brilliant idea.

I bought a nice parcel on 3.2 acres that will allow for a home with a walkout basement. What would you build for up to $750K if you already owned the land? I'm looking forward to your input.

Double wide with granite countertops.

This is what my wife likes, but it has no 3 car garage. That could be worked out however. I think it'd go over budget using the best materials.

I don't get the idea of why do you need attached garage for RV and motor home. I can understand race cars but not THAT high of a ceiling. Honestly it doesn't feel like HOME but rather like someone is living in a single story business park zoned for industrial / box store retail. It could work if this is your idea of NICE but it would not be a good home if you ever want to sell it later.

Maybe skip the pool until budget allows later? Personally I'd focus on things that must be done right first (kitchen, bathroom) so they will not be torn out and remodeled, and incrementally build up the other area that are "vacant" later (landscaping, interior of empty rooms, garage, etc). This is unless you guys are old and does not have time and need them before you cannot use them anymore.

What about the supply issues that plague the home builders ?

Original budget might go up 20-30%.

That looks perfect. All I’d do is have a side or rear entry garage with another stall or two. Just cleans it up from an aesthetic standpoint by not looking at a sea of garage doors on the front. If you are out on your own and not in a neighborhood it probably doesn’t matter much.

Insulated studs.

Central Vacuum.

Hard wired for surveillance system. @alarmguy might have some tip.

Pass through garage / loop driveway so you don't have to back out or back in.

I don't think I'll ever see that kind of money, but if I had it I'd buy something lived in with plenty of character. An updated 60's ranch perhaps, or maybe a 20's - 30's craftsman. Anything old!

If I would be a millionaire, I would definitely be able to fulfil this dream of mine. I'm dreaming of owning a piece of land in a residential area. Then, I would love to have a huge garden with a big pool. I've actually managed to receive some Mortgage Advice Newcastle, but I don't know how I'll be able to accomplish this dream. I'm currently staying in a two-room apartment and my wife is expecting a child, so I don't know if we will have enough space. Buying a bigger place is getting harder and harder, but I've got a second job in order to save up more money

Quite fond of this; no thru passages for the roof; steep to shed snow; covered entrance without looking like one

I gravitate to small homes like others gravitate to large ones.

Not interested in a show piece.
