Hi
I have 2 oils 5w-30
the first one is blend synthitec and viscosity index is 165 API:SN
the second one is super synthitec and viscosity index is 162 API:SN
what is the better?

Another questions:
Does weather temperature affect on engine oil?
In oils characterestics Flash Point. what is mean?
thank you

Please be more descriptive in your subject. Could mean which is the better beer or oil or pie!

Weather temp (season average) should certainly be considered when choosing an oil. That is why the vehicle manufacturer includes a viscosity chart in the owners manual. But its for seasonal temp not the actual temp on any one day.

Flashpoint is at what temp the oil will flame. As far as the oil comparo the viscosity index are so close they are basically the same. Use the cheaper one

Rolla07 what else

Rand super syn means fully syn

Clevy I read in wikipedia VI is the most important

Donald I did not understand you also I want to tell you weather temp in summer reach 56 and at winter at least 20(in my city) & I read in owner manual use 5w-20(my car imported from America)

If I want to compare between 2 or more oils.what the Characteristics I can use?
