Hi everyone! I just purchased a Dodge Journey and looking for a good oil filter - my original thought was OEM (Mopar MO-339) as that is usually all around a decent oil filter but after a little bit of researching the Mopar MO-339 is not a very good oil filter.
I remember when Fram Ultra first came that was about the best filter you can get for the money - great internals, very good efficiency and easy to find. I used the Fram Ultra for a few years until my Dodge Caravan finally rusted and would no longer pass PA inspection. After that I switched to Toyota and Mazda and used OEM filters for those cars since they were good filters and I was able to get them around $5 each. Now it appears that the Fram Ultra isn't the same filter that it used to be so my question is what is a good compatible filter to the original Fram Ultra? Or what other filters are good quality with good efficiency out there?
