I'd lean towards 5-6k mile intervals vs yearly oil changes, however, you don't know until you run a UOA. If you go the 1 yr route, Amsoil, PP and maybe M1 would be my 3 choices. Amsoil SS0 would be a very good choice.
M1 vs. PP vs. SSO in this app. All three excellent oils but 12k in a 1mz-fe should be considered equivalent to perhaps 18k in the "average" engine. And it's possible if the engine is not consuming any oil presently, then the oil of choice will be in there w/ little refresh oil thru the year. That's a lot to ask from PP and the std M1 lines.
