What health supplements do you take?

Some people consider them supplements! I remember watching the 1988 Olympics as a 12-year-old when in an interview a reporter asked sprinter Ben Johnson if he was doping. Johnson smirkingly said he was taking 'good vitamins.' shortly after he was disqualified for having tested positive for two steroids.

Too much good vitamins and a person will end up like Rich Piana.

Magnesium glycinate. I have crohn's disease and had a couple feet of small intestine removed and don't absorb enough from my food. Helps with muscle cramps and makes me sleep like a baby.

Daily.......

Quercitin (500 mg)
Zinc (25 mg)
Vit D (liquid... 2 drops)
Vit C (1,000 mg)
6oz cup of water, two tea spoons of apple cider vinegar with the Mother, two drops of Lugol's Iodine 2%.... little honey.

Every other day.....

Full MultiVitamin (mainly to get all the trace minerals)

Vitamins just make my pee neon yellow. Yellow pee = $$$ down the toilet.

I take supplements based on data. I take fish oil (Omega 3) and vit D. I have elevated triglycerides and am deficient in vit D.

Thats probably vitamin B-2. It does that. I would not let your vit D levels get low, that can affect mentation as well as help prevent osteoporosis. You need vitamin D to have calcium protect your bones. Think of vitamin d almost as a hormone.

supplement info is even MORE controversial than engine oils. many good suggestions like D-3 + K-2 Mk7 that is rarely noted. the pros note D-3 as more of a pro hormone + involved in almost every body process. mainstream is content with about 30 on the blood test while ok pro nutritional gurus like 60. for the guy getting B-12 shots a daily sublingual-under the tongue 1000 mcg worked for many friends i mentioned it for. there are SOOOO many nutritional supplements that can be used without issue depending on your needs. eating ONLY organic as well as grass fed meats is said to be best BUT $$$$! coenzyme Q10 is said to be very important + older people are said to absorb the reduced version ubiquinol better. most mainstream docs dont bother with recommending supplements because of lack of profits + its said they can get in trouble if not using the standard drugs + procedures that make the big $$$. i feel i have learned a lot thru the years first books + now the internet, but lots of misinformation as healthy people make NO $$$$. one nutrient i found so important for allergies is Quercetin, called natures benadryl best absorbed with bromelain + benefits many other areas. i take one 250 mg 5 times daily + dont sneeze or have itchy eyes ANYMORE!! i could go on + on but its everyones choice to help themselves!!

yellow urine is common with higher vitamin C intakes + its surely a beneficial water soluble nutrient that gets excreted + needs to be taken several times daily as the pros note. only vitamins A,D,E, + K are fat soluble + only absorbed when taken with fat + a simple tablespoon of real peanut butter or other small amounts of fat is needed for absorption. many ill advised posters need to do some time consuming extensive research not what big medial shows you!! a little note on fish oils, they contain EPA + DHA, the latter is said to be best for brain health + is usually the lesser portion as it costs more. theres even prescription fish oils, Lovasa being one my aunt took until her insurance did not cover the cost!!! for her it was the fish oil that dropped her tryglycerides that comes from carbohydrates NOT fat consumption!!

Be careful,
A lot of HMO’s and the Veterans Administration will give you D2 instead of D3,
because it is cheaper…

Ask your doctor for “cholecalciferol“ or “colecalciferol”…

Centrum Silver
D3
Reishi "Holy" mushroom. Buddhist monks and the Emperors of China and Japan used it for longevity. No scientific evidence for anything, but since I started taking it my cholesterol and blood pressure dropped. Dr. took me off the meds. (The anti-everything are gonna dispute ganoderma did it, but when I drank their Mobil 1, it DIDN'T do as advertised. :ROFLMAO: .)

It depends on age, location and skin color.

Most people do not get enough vitamin D, especially if you live up north vs Florida and people with darker skin absorb less from sunlight than people with lighter skin. And you need some fat to help your body absorb the vitamin D. Blood test will indicate if you should take extra via a vitamin D pill. Hard to get enough vitamin D from normal foods.

Older people absorb B12 less efficiently than younger people. Again blood test will tell.

I take vitamins as recommended by blood tests, so no multi vitamin. A few select vitamins.

Dr Fauci recommends a 1000 mg of vitamin C as an antioxidant. So I take that also.

Glucosamine for joint.
