What happened to Fram oil filters?

Redirect but are we still having issues with QC on the Fram filters I’ve noted a couple and seen some post but as of recent haven’t seen any new post about QC issues

I just got two FRAM XG7317 with the unclean threads problem, if that is considered QC problems. Date code was very end of 2022 - like 352nd day or so. I am still using Fram however - I don't think anything is that great anymore. I clean mine up with a thread chaser:

I’d say that’s a QC problem but my issue has been the grip texture stuff just looking like absolute garbage, overall appearance as well, threads like you stated, an o ring completely missing because the lip it sits in was not even close to being correct. I’m thinking of trying and seeing if the Titanium line from AAP is better according to Frams website they are still Wire backed which isn’t so much an issue for me I’m trusting the efficiency is still spectacular on the new Ultras

I haven't tried them, but if they weren't $13 bucks I would try one of the microgard select's from O'Reilly's. My understanding is the build quality is excellent from everyone here. However there rated only at 25um is my understanding as well - so build quality vs filtration?

My only gripe with Fram has been the threads that look like they were made with dull tooling. Last fall I couldn’t find a decent 7317 sized filter so I ended up going with WIX.

I bought a 3980 for my truck and it was fine though.

That is the Oil Filter that the cool People use! Also the High School kids that are popular and in the A crowd also use these oil filters.
Brian I sent you a message about buying filters. I’m having a hard time finding Fram distribution in my area. I could really use some help on this.

Those were your life dreams that never happened?

PS I asked you a simple question you mentioned MD, either you answer or don't act as an ass about it.

You can answer like I'm a regional dealer, or a lot of people here order it from me or I'm work at a major supplier here, etc.... better than pretending you're funny

The ONLY fiber endcap issue I've ever seen is sometimes poorly spaced pleats can pull in the end cap, interfering with ADBV sealing, and there have been rare instances of misalignment with the center tube. I'm not sold on the orange can & a 10,000 mile OCI, but I think 5K is fine, & 7500 is doable.
