That's s good suggestion, I just looked at amsoil marine 75w-90 gear oil gl4/gl5 and it specifically says compatable with brass and copper! I don't know if it's 1A rated though, can't seem to find it's rating on their website. Anyone know of a voa on this stuff??

If a Gear Oil oil cannot be found you might consider a 60 or 70 weight racing oii.

Thanks for the tip MolaKule. I've got some PAG to test when I get a chance. That article is one of the good ones that got me searching for it.

Interesting article, PAG does look like the go to oil, but I don't think we have found a suitable source for the proper weight fluid. Barring finding a source, it is encouraging that PAO and Ester base can reduce wear by half.
