Peanuts matter to some …Its a GM kickback license!
If you absolutely, positively MUST have GM 19432331 then GMPartsGiant.com has it for sale at: https://www.gmpartsgiant.com/parts/gm-oil_eng_dexos1_gen3_full_syn_0w20_acdelco_1qtx6-19432331.htmlI’m confused, you’re having problems purchasing a d1G3 licensed oil?
Either you're not paying attention to my post, or you're picking up something from someone else.
I specifically stated (again) I am trying to find someone, anyone who sells this SPECIFIC branded ACDELCO OIL
GENERATION 3, NOT MOBIL, NOT QUAKER STATE, OR OTHER BRANDS. SO, IS THERE SUCH A PRODUCT,
SPECIFICALLY MADE BY AND BRANDED IN A CONTAINER BY ACDELCO OIL GENERATION 3, AND WHO HAS IT?

Yeah okay on that. May the force be with you in this epic quest. Why does General Motors specify a motor oil that does not exist. My 2023 Equinox LT owner's manual specifically states a motor oil "DEX 01 0 20W GENERATION 3. My dealer gave me the part unmember for that - 19432331.
So, I've called every Chevy dealership within a 50-mile radius, and scouted every possible address on the internet, and no one has, or even knows, where to get this stuff. So I ask these Chevy dealer's parts department, can I use the same motor oil only stated as GENERATION 2? I get a chorus of .." Aaaa... hmmmm.... I'll have to get back to you on that." So I get to thinking, is this something that General Motors does on a routine baseis with its parts. If I had know this was going to happen when the Mrs., and thought about paying for this car, we would've gone elsewhere. Such a basic thing.... motor oil, go figure.
There aren’t, that’s the point of a licensed oil. The entire point.Me? I don't feel there are enough differences among same spec oils by various makers to be concerned. Enjoy your Equinox!
I also missed that you are specifically looking for the GM branded dexos 1 Gen 3 when all you need is GM approved dexos 1 Gen 3...for the last several years dealerships (at least around ChicagoLand) have been using Mobil lubricants (they even had this printed on those paper floor mat protectors the dealerships use when doing service on your car)...I’m confused, you’re having problems purchasing a d1G3 licensed oil?

I think P66 had the contract in between those 2 …these bottles appear to be siblings, but the DEXOS label from an onine Amazon seller is VERY suspect, IMO -

I used to use Kendall. The guy who rebuilt my Volvo swore by it, so word of mouth. 1990-1998.I think P66 had the contract in between those 2 …
Kendall looking bottles …
honestly? I would like to say that some scam on their part to try to recover from the bailouts of the late 2000s. it's very interesting that only general motors has this type of labeling and everybody else is following in step. I don't see any other car manufacturers coming out with the similar logo having to pay money to be able to have it on a quart of oil. I don't get caught up in all of that for many reasons. I've owned a general motors car and they are nothing to write home about so any specification that they may have is virtually worthless or a bottom of the barrel specification to begin with. number two is a owner of a Japanese car I could care less what the Americans think as far as what certifies as a quality product. I applaud many of the boutique oils for not buying into this dexos labeling. it would ruin many of the boutique oils that pride themselves ongoing above and beyond and giving the customer what they're asking for and what they're paying for they just can't be found in the little $5 quart d of synthetic oil.
The dexos performance specs are a higher bar than the ILSAC performance specs. But these days, pretty much all big brand name motor oils will be dexos rated. How do other manufacture's oil specs (like Ford, Dodge, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, etc) compare performance wise to dexos specs? Are any of those manufacturer specs setting higher performance bars? I doubt anyone can really answer that accurately.honestly? How does anyone know what performance and quality specs any boutique oil meets if they are not ran through the testing sequences of the various specifications (API, ILSAC, dexos, ACEA, etc), and shown on the bottle that they meet any of those?I applaud many of the boutique oils for not buying into this dexos labeling. it would ruin many of the boutique oils that pride themselves ongoing above and beyond and giving the customer what they're asking for and what they're paying for they just can't be found in the little $5 quart d of synthetic oil.
More along the lines of SPAM (mystery meat). If this gets solved, can we tackle, “What is hamburger? Chopped ham?” That was from my childhood
