What does your forum name mean?

When I registered I wasn't using a password manager and wanted something easily remembered. I was using the name Two Door on another forum, and wanted something somewhat similar. Since I had, and still have, more vehicles than I drive I picked T-M-W. Why I didn't just reuse Two Door, I don't know.

I still have the first car I ever bought, purchased in 1981. It's a 1972 TE27 chassis Corolla coupe.

One of my favorite characters in R. A. Salvatore's books...the tough, meticulous, cagey, always-prepared, and often-sarcastic dark elf mercenary Jarlaxle. In a culture where a "houseless rogue" usually has a lifespan measured in days, he has survived (and thrived) for centuries.

I signed up for another forum 15+ years ago and just wanted something that meant nothing at all. I didn't want anything along the lines of 'ImSoCool78' or 'VetteKiller' or 'SeriousBadA$$!!' or whatever. I don't take my online persona that seriously.

But I do enjoy when getting in spats with people on forums and they feel the need to make fun of my screen name, like it's going to hurt my feelings or something.

Real answer: it means something important to me (or at least it did), but would sound really pretentious or dorky to anyone else.

Getting Rued is a term that my friends and I made up for when a Subaru pulls out in front of you and goes slower than you want to go. The first thing that my best friend said when I told him that I bought a Subaru was "Oh man, you've been Rued." Ever since then I use this screen name.

You might think I'm a Boy Scout but that's not right! I build a lot of computers and joined the SETI project when distributed computing projects were pretty new and thought the screen name of "Scout" would be appropriate - "Scouting the universe for ET"! So that's what I still go by

I think I've done this before, but why not share...

Charlie Baby was a man of influence in those days. When someone in the family was in need, CB was the man they went to.

And though I have never met CB, I have heard many stories over the years.
