Mine kind of signifies the fantasy that we're anonymous online. In other words, I don't like to divulge too much personal information, even though I realize that there's no real anonymity here.

Also, I don't usually post unless I have something meaningful (to me at least) to add.

Then there's my signature. I'm not really a scofflaw, but that's what I was called by one of our more staid members when I asked questions about a radar detector.

Edited to add: also, I do really know how to spell "stealth", but I like "Stelth" better for a screen name.

Some 100 years ago, I traveled the nation teaching Java programming and I had an SVT Contour.

Neither is the case today.

I recall you!! I built the ferry that allowed your SVT Contour to pass over Lake Huron, so you may travel from Lower Michigan to Upper Michigan, prior to the Mackinac Bridge.

However, you still haven't made the last payment for services rendered on that.

Based on my name. Back when email addresses were being handed out it was first letter last name; I did not think anything of it until I met up with someone whom I had been conversing with over email. He called me "supton" and I realized it was the first and only nickname I cared for.

When I worked in the bicycle industry, I was known for my ability to solve difficult repairs. This was especially true when it came to Italian road bikes and Campagnolo components which made even good mechanics pull their hair out (they were used to Shimano and SRAM). I explained that you can't get upset with Italian bikes because they are very temperamental like their human companions.

So my calm demeanor while working on them earned me the nickname...The Bike Whisperer
