I've never heard a Coyote Mustang on the road with a stock exhaust. All the Coyote Mustangs running around town have no muffler.

The sound of them without their muffler is horrid. How do they sound with the stock exhaust?

The 5.0 sounds decent.

I’ve never liked the sound of other Ford engines though. Not sure what it is about them, they sound like they have no compression.

What does active exhaust mean? Is that something other than factory stock?

Usually flaps and valves which can divert the exhaust gasses through various silencers or bypass pipes. These are stock on a lot of Mustangs I believe.

It means that when being driven normally, they're quiet. But if you put your foot down or select a specific mode then things can be louder.

The exhaust note of a stock 1986 Mustang GT 5.0 was perfect. I'm talking pure music to my ears. I would never need a sound system other than the factory stock Ford radio in that car. I don't know what a stock Coyote Mustang sounds like, but my gut feeling tells me it's no where near as nice as the original Mustang GT from back in the day. By the way, a brand new Mustang GT back in 1986 was about $14,500.
