What do you top off with?

This is just what I do:

If I require 0 topoffs to make it to end of OCI, (still above min at end of OCI) then I don't top off.

If I know I will need a topoff, then I check at halfway point of OCI, and do the top off to full at that point. This should mean at end of OCI I should be somewhere min-middle.

If I require 2 topoffs; split the OCI into 3rds. (should be below middle at 1/3rd mark)
3 topoffs I'd put the OCI into 4ths and so on.

I don't have a car that requires 2 or 3 topoffs, perhaps it's time to consider a different oil that doesn't get consumed instead, at this point.

Topoff oil is whatever oil that I don't have enough for an complete oil change, or the oldest oil that I have (of same spec).

My last oil change was with Mobil 1 Full Synthetic. I use a quart between oil changes. Top off oil was regular Mobil conventional.
