What do you do when people cut you off?

I don't need any of this "I politely ignore them and continue on with my life" [censored], that's great that you're a hippy, and I don't really care. That, however, does not mean that I'm asking what caliber handgun you use to shoot off their side mirrors. The worst I've done myself is leave my high beams on which are bright as all [censored] (and could get brighter if I install PnP Xenons in the high beam socket).

If I had a train horn I'd certainly use that.

Just wondering what you do. I'm aware of what's safe and what's not, so like I said let's not get into that. If you don't like the idea of revenge or anything, then this isn't the thread for you.

Exactly. To me, it's not worth antagonizing them, and possibly escalating the situation.

Install 2 Airchime K5LA kits. May cost as much as a new car but might make them wonder about what else you have in your car and whether they should continue to be a butthole.

If I somehow pass them in traffic and get an opportunity to make their life extremely difficult by not letting them in, I do. That's about it.

Word of advice from a master [censored]: laying on the horn, leaving your high-beams on, persistently tailgating someone who cut you off, its all entertaining and hilarious because you're basically admitting you're [censored] off and you only have the most futile tools at your disposal to try to get some sensation of revenge.

And someone who unintentionally cut you off is just gonna think you're a tool.

Nothing anymore. Evil eyes and a flash of hardware taught me to let them go. Its just not worth it. You never know who your dealing with.

If possible, get an older heavy duty truck, exterior tube frame, weld thick gauge steel plates around truck, make "hellbender" bumpers and play bumper cars with the crummy plastic cars on the road. Massive torque helps too, gotta ram the cars out of the way if they decide to "stop".

Seriously. I have more to think about during my day than to how to "get somebody back" for an action out on the road.

I like what RiceCake said above. If they did it on purpose, you showing your anger just gives them a rise. If they're not aware they did something and you do something "in return", they don't know it's "in return" for anything, and now you're the very guy you thought that person was, TO that person.

Nothing positive can come out of retaliation. They won't "get" your message, they won't change the way they drive, and you just end up mad or angry. Road safety is a collaborative effort, and we all must do our part.

I know its a very emotional thing.I always think about what that jerk almost did to my car....and me had we actually collided.Its a total waste,near misses like that should never happen.Those who get hit usually wind up losing out....they lose their damaged car,they lose medical costs,and they lose time and effort thanks to the whole situation.Think about it...if the other guy doesnt have insurance or any money...he cant be sued,you wind up paying.Your insurance has to cover everything (if you have full coverage),and without collision coverage,you need to fix or replace your own car.Makes people mad? It should.

Wow, that's one reason I love visiting Cincinnati, I find people very friendly overall.

About the cutoff thing: I used to fly the Frank Barone Memorial Flag as I call it, but with all the craziness these days I try to just let it go.
