I have a sbc 350 that i am rebuilding and i have the old crankshaft from it. A bearing spun on it. Is it scrap or worth anything as a core to bring somewhere. Also if anyone wants it they can have it. Located in hudson valley.

Leave it in the garage along with other old parts your have no idea what to do with.
I still have old VW Type IV jugs and pistons along with a camshaft laying around the garage from and engine rebuild I did around thirty years back.

Put it next to the street the evening before trash day and a trash picker/metal scrapper might take it. It's a common one piece rear main seal 350 SBC cast crank and a new one is about the same price of having it machined. If it's in your budget, get a 3.750 stroker crank and pistons for the 5.7" rods.

We certainly have guys here who drive around pulling a trailer and picking up metal parts left by the street. I think they make their living that way.

When I get old and bored, I've got a collection of old Top Fuel parts I swear I'm going to do something with. The wife doesn't mind at all...

Easy to make a lamp out of it, gotta figure out how to route the wire.

Love the tables!

Speaker stand

Bedside table

Axle for fancy belt drive ceiling fan

Send it to China and have them make a skillet out of the cast iron.
Again, still better than plastic oil pans that will almost surely wind up in a landfill! But hey, that plastic pan allowed the vehicle to burn two gallons less fuel throughout its entire lifespan due to reduced weight. Makes perfect sense
