I think about that myself. Sadly spending money on things doesn't return pleasure like it used to.Since I sold all my guns I just re-load my belly.![]()
Hi.Over August I loaded 2,000 more 40 S@W loads.
I have a Dillon 550 I bought in 1991 and sent it in to Dillon for a rebuild in 2014 and is came back better than new with all sorts of upgrades parts. 5 of my friends used the Dillon until they finally decided to buy their own. It has loaded 338 Lapua , 300 Weatherby mag, 30/06, 308, 223,45acp , 40 S&W ,9mm , 357 and 38. The Dillion is one of my favorite things I ever purchased in life . I have found that if I leave the machine set up 300 rounds in under an hour is easy and quite pleasant . I have done 500 in a sitting but it is brutal and quite stressful.Hi.
I loaded 1000s of rounds of Pistol Ammo on a Lee Turret Press. I always wanted a Dillon but could never afford one. What press do you use to turn out the quantities you are using?
I reloaded my glass of beer with another glass of beer
All caught up again;My .338 LM is an old Sako 995. Two that interest me are the CZ Badlands and Sako 85 composite.
On topic, I loaded 558 rounds in December, 2020. About 190 of them were 300 Win Mag with 200 ELDX bullets.
Another 100 or so 7mm Rem and 7mm-08 with 150 ABLR and 162 ELDX. Another 150 or so 6.5x55 with 143 ELDX and 142 ABLRs. The rest were .325 WSM, some with Barnes 160 TTSX.
I buy 195 Hornady 8mm ILs quite often because of the cost. I think I have about 25 left out of 2 boxes of 100.
When they were plentiful I bough 40,000 . Plus powders. I really can not tell the differences in the powders because even though I, like to shoot I don't have the best hand eye coordinationEspecially if you stockpiled primers...
My son dropped 185 .338 Win Mag cases on my lap yesterday. His renter found out the hard way that if you own anything other than the most popular 5 or 6 cartridges, good luck finding ammo if you don't re-load.All caught up again;
10 year total 6,330 of;
6.5x55
7mm-08
7mm WSM
7mm Rem mag
308 Win
300 WSM
300 Win mag
325 WSM
338 LM
Only 225 this December compaired to 558 last year.
I'm out of magnum powder.
Note to self: always bring more than one push-pin to hold up targets, I'm not as good as I think...Haven’t been able to find Bullseye powder, so I picked up some Accurate No 2 and No 5, which are similar but of course not the same. Loaded a few 148gn WC’s with No 2 and some 158gn SWC +P with No 5, just to see what will happen (my prediction, I still am a lousy shot).
When you see .338 bullets on the shelf, buy them. That goes for 6.5mm hunting bullets and slow burning magnum powder.I haven't been able to load any .338LM because of COVID and the reloading setup being out at my buddy's place in the sticks. Hit up the local store today as I'm really low, down to about a box and a half of it and figured I'd grab some .308 as I fired a box yesterday.
Yes, that's $126.99 for 20.

December was .308 Win month. Did 300 of them with new Sig Sauer brass. 150 were 125 Nosler BTs I've had for 15 years collecting dust.When you see .338 bullets on the shelf, buy them. That goes for 6.5mm hunting bullets and slow burning magnum powder.
I lucked out last week and found four boxes of 140 grain 6.5mm Hornady copper and two pounds of 6.5 StaBall powder.
