Hillarious. I did similar with our 1967 Ford station wagon with a 390cui 4b engine. My only trouble was even after putting it back exactly where it was, someone in the neighborhood ratted me out also. I paid for that stunt.View attachment 260577
This was the very first car I ever drove. I was 9 years old and, when my folks were away, I grabbed my dad's keys and drove the thing around our block, being careful to park it in the same spot. I never got out of first gear as I'd not yet figured out how to shift the gears. One of the neighbors snitched on me, and I was surprised at how little trouble I got into. I think on one level my dad was proud of me, but I had to be punished. The punishment was to wash all of our cars on a summer weekend, something I actually enjoyed.
I'd like to see a more modern version of this truck. Something about the same size, a simple but comfortable interior, small-block Chevy V-8, 5- or 6-speed auto trans, and a well-designed, comfortable-but-firm suspension.
I bought a 2022 Bronco, ordered brand new, but would have loved to have an Xterra/Pathfinder or 4Runner if they were not ridiculously expensive or automatic only. My justification for the Bronco which, I will concede I do love with its 7 speed manual, was that it's not as good as a Toyota would have been but the 20k difference in initial cost would likely pay for a substantial amount of repairs.Nissan the train wreck of a company pulled out on Xterra when SUV craze took off.
What engine did your Bronco come with? I was all set to buy one until I found out the only way to have a 4 cylinder was to go for the "off road" model that jumped the cost to over $50,000.I bought a 2022 Bronco, ordered brand new, but would have loved to have an Xterra/Pathfinder or 4Runner if they were not ridiculously expensive or automatic only. 2.3 Ecoboost; that's the only engine Ford sells with the manual transmission. Honestly, it's been great so far for 33k miles. What engine did your Bronco come with? I bet. Have heard some good things about the 2.3 so far. I really need to look a little deeper into what the 2024/2025 models offer.2.3 Ecoboost; that's the only engine Ford sells with the manual transmission. Honestly, it's been great so far for 33k miles.
Mother in law has a 2008 or 2009 I think with about 22,000 miles on it that is still like new in her garage. She can no longer drive so the wife drives it to run errands for her to keep it working nice. The actual only repair I can recall was a broken tail light assembly that we found shattered one day after a trip thru a "touchless" RIGHT car wash. She traded her old Crown Vic for the Mercury.Mercury Grand Marquis / Ford Crown Vic.

Do you mean the one that ran on leaded gas?GM the late 70s Big 10 pickup
