What car or cars would you like to see made again

This was the very first car I ever drove. I was 9 years old and, when my folks were away, I grabbed my dad's keys and drove the thing around our block, being careful to park it in the same spot. I never got out of first gear as I'd not yet figured out how to shift the gears. One of the neighbors snitched on me, and I was surprised at how little trouble I got into. I think on one level my dad was proud of me, but I had to be punished. The punishment was to wash all of our cars on a summer weekend, something I actually enjoyed.

I'd like to see a more modern version of this truck. Something about the same size, a simple but comfortable interior, small-block Chevy V-8, 5- or 6-speed auto trans, and a well-designed, comfortable-but-firm suspension.
Hillarious. I did similar with our 1967 Ford station wagon with a 390cui 4b engine. My only trouble was even after putting it back exactly where it was, someone in the neighborhood ratted me out also. I paid for that stunt.

Nissan the train wreck of a company pulled out on Xterra when SUV craze took off.
I bought a 2022 Bronco, ordered brand new, but would have loved to have an Xterra/Pathfinder or 4Runner if they were not ridiculously expensive or automatic only. My justification for the Bronco which, I will concede I do love with its 7 speed manual, was that it's not as good as a Toyota would have been but the 20k difference in initial cost would likely pay for a substantial amount of repairs.

What engine did your Bronco come with? I was all set to buy one until I found out the only way to have a 4 cylinder was to go for the "off road" model that jumped the cost to over $50,000.

Maybe bring back the wood

I would love to see Chrysler start making small cars with a turbo again. My first new car was a 1988 Dodge Shadow ES Turbo. I loved that Chrysler was offering the 2.2 turbo in just about every car they made back in the late 80s! I actually originally wanted an Omni Turbo but they stopped making that in 1986 so the cheapest car I could get with the 2.2 turbo was the Shadow. I had a lot of fun surprising a lot of fast cars with it! I raced a friend who had a 1987 350 Iroc Z and it was a dead heat from 0-50 mph (he would have pulled away easily after that I’m sure)

Another car I wish would come back was the Mazda powered Escort GT. My sister bought a 95 GT new and I bought it from her in 1998 and drove it for a couple of years. It never needed a single repair and it was so much fun revving that little 1.8L out to 7500 rpm 😎

2.3 Ecoboost; that's the only engine Ford sells with the manual transmission. Honestly, it's been great so far for 33k miles.
I bet. Have heard some good things about the 2.3 so far. I really need to look a little deeper into what the 2024/2025 models offer.
Just like lots of vehicles, there are a lot of Bronco versions one can purchase I found out.

Mercury Grand Marquis / Ford Crown Vic.
Mother in law has a 2008 or 2009 I think with about 22,000 miles on it that is still like new in her garage. She can no longer drive so the wife drives it to run errands for her to keep it working nice. The actual only repair I can recall was a broken tail light assembly that we found shattered one day after a trip thru a "touchless" RIGHT car wash. She traded her old Crown Vic for the Mercury.

The 4th Gen Mazda 626 from 87-92 and Volvo 240 from 88-93. Not going further back as I would get carried away.
(y)Very hard to do for automobile lovers, like some / MOST ? of us here.

P.S. Oldest son had a Mazda 6 "touring model" (did the Six become the 626?) after he started out with the smaller Mazda 3 ? He loved the car (Model 6). I rode with him in it on an over 500mi trip one summer and was very comfortable in it.
