Mustang II because i need to make fun of other people to make myself feel better.
I miss the small hatchbacks a lot. There were a lot of cheap but fun economy cars back in the 80s and 90s! Stuff like the Mazda 323 for example. I test drove a new 1986 Mazda 323 GT back in the day and it was a fun little car (a couple of years later I bought a brand new 1988 Dodge Shadow ES Turbo, that was a super fun pocket rocket!!)I love small cars. Go to Budapest/Europe and you'll see beautiful cars. Last time there, saw a Trabant! Couldn't believe it, ran along the sidewalk w/my camera out taking pictures. (I wonder what the locals thought?) I remember riding around in one back in 1972. (Even then it was an old car!) Coming back to states and seeing all our monster brick SUV's made me want to almost puke. Bring back the Datsun 510/ Mazda Protege/1985 Nissan Pickup and so, so many others,
Wow, that's a nice find! Looks new! I had an '89 Civic Si HB in black. I think the moonroof was the only luxury item on them! Fun car and absolutely purred at speed on the interstates!I absolutely would love to see Honda make a new version of the CRX! Lightweight two seater with a little bit more of the modern amenities (which I realize would add a bit of weight but it would still be lighter than my 2750 pound 2016 Civic LX coupe) They could offer it with the 2.0 in the base model and have a 200hp turbo version for the si. I saw a mint condition 1990 CRX in my area in the fall and chatted with the owner for a bit (he’s the second owner but he’s had it since 1995 and it’s all original (which is rare around here, most have been heavily modified)View attachment 260386View attachment 260387
I had a chance to be a passenger in one of those JB Astons. The car was at the Bridgehampton road circuit on Long Island, and rides around the circuit were offered to a few people on a first-come, first-served basis.Aston Martin DB5 with ejection seat, machine guns, fire-spitting tailpipes and oil slick capabilities.
For a short period of time I had a 94 Grand Am GT that I bought new. It had the 155hp 3.1 L V6 and was a pretty fun daily driver, especially when I put lowering springs on itSmall V-6 powered, front drive sport coupes:
Oldsmobile Firenza GT
Cavalier Z-24
Dodge Shadow ‘Duster’ V-6
Chev Barretta Z-26
Mazda MX-3 1.8
Chev Citation X-11
Ford Probe V-6
I really kick myself that I never bought one when I had the chance many times!!
Nissan the train wreck of a company pulled out on Xterra when SUV craze took off.A body-on-frame, manual transmission SUV that is not 80k and 120" wheelbase like a Tahoe and would compete with Bronco and Wrangler
At least they have paint/clear figured out, something Chonda never has been able to pull off.Nissan the train wreck of a company pulled out on Xterra when this took off.
^^THIS; and to post #88, why a V engine at all? Straight 6 is inherently smoother...or a 5. Easier to work on.KISS vehicles!! keep it simple stupid!! more base models with as little extra !!! junk as legally possible for a REASONABLE $$$$ NO CVT or DI of course!!!
