What car or cars would you like to see made again

Small cheap station wagons. FWD. I don't care as much about the manual transmission anymore, but I would like the cargo capacity, and the ability to put on a tow hitch and move a small 4x8 utility trailer. These have been replaced by CUV's which aren't awful but I just think a smaller and lower slung vehicle will get better mpg, be easier to work on, and meet my needs just as well if not better.

I absolutely would love to see Honda make a new version of the CRX! Lightweight two seater with a little bit more of the modern amenities (which I realize would add a bit of weight but it would still be lighter than my 2750 pound 2016 Civic LX coupe) They could offer it with the 2.0 in the base model and have a 200hp turbo version for the si. I saw a mint condition 1990 CRX in my area in the fall and chatted with the owner for a bit (he’s the second owner but he’s had it since 1995 and it’s all original (which is rare around here, most have been heavily modified)

I would also love to see Ford make a low cost lightweight Mustang 5.0 just like they did from 87-93. I remember seeing the 87 and 88 LX coupes on all of the Ford dealers lots in Toronto with no options on them and selling for around $12,000 to $13,000 brand new. They weighed in around 2900 pounds I believe. That would be amazing if Ford could do something similar again. The Mustang has gotten too heavy and costly.

My original dream car I would like to own someday as a project would be a late 80s Corvette, I was always fond of the old school digital dashboard design on that car in that era. Also flip up headlights are just another level of coolness of the era.

It would be nice to see a modern renaissance of old chassis reproductions with new modern drive-trains and updated interiors to keep up with the times but also retain the old school exterior/interior that encapsulates the era they came from.

Subcompact 🚗 hatchbacks
Pretty much this, I'd like to see returns of sports compact and also small trucks. More smaller cars without the dumb electronic doodads no body will ever use in today's bloated vehicles. I can't stand owning big cars. A GR Yaris would have been what I'd be driving right now if it came to the states.

Sometimes I feel this endless pursuit of fuel economy regulations and tighter emissions standards are slowly killing the small size sports car culture. Everything's gotta be big as a truck these days to make a sale, it awful. Mind as well keep my cars until they rust away.
