Thank you. Every time I see a vehicle approach and signal and their white DRL goes off and the turn blinks on/off I wonder why don't they alternate so there's always a light on? It would be much more noticeable and attention getting.

Youtube has some great examples from VLEDS.
Essentially they glow white while driving and then flash amber when turning and then switch back to white again after turning.
Calling them ensures you get the correct lamps specifically for your car.

2018 2.7 has been struggling to accelerate uphill these past 2 weeks. No engine light, and my scanner shows no codes. I don’t want to replace all 6 coil packs without some kind of clue. It’s getting worse (now it’s just struggling to get home over the hills), and I found a mode in Forscan that gave me a clue!

I found no pending codes, but “Mode 6” in the main menu selection counts misfires. Ordered two coil packs. Forscan for the win (packs 5 and 2 … pack 5 showing many misfires, 2 showing a few, and the others showing zero).

Also lost heat for a day this week - the H/C blend door servo stopped. That code did show in Forscan, “connection lost with…”. This will be the second hvac servo to fail. That may be a full dash-removal job when it finally goes. Trucked just turned 77,777.7 miles yesterday. I have this pit in my stomach that it’s time, earlier than planned. I’d been looking to just get a smaller DD, but all this plus the discovery of the finest metal glittering in the last oil filter has me at least thinking about it. I’ve had a love/hate relationship with this truck. It drives wonderfully, handles perfectly for my use, gets good gas mileage, and has a quiet interior, and not too much tech (my preference). Not sure I could do another ford. Don’t want Chevy styling. Ram has its appeal, especially the baby diesel, but I don’t trust Stellantis and the local dealer is awful (I owned two jeeps and was there regularly for warranty on one of them).

One coil pack arrives today. Maybe I can get it in time for a quick repair. Fingers crossed for #5!

Each coil pack is different so you have to order one specific to only one cylinder? Wow.
Sorry if I mislead, it’s the same model coil pack for each cylinder - I just want to replace the bad one(s) and not shotgun all 6, as this seems young for coils to start failing. Turns out I need two at this time.

Worked on my daughters 2004 Escape. Wanted to investigate the P0446 before ordering a new vent valve. Glad I did as the wires were broke off right at the connector. Not sure when I can run down to Napa for a new connector so I learned how to de-pin it in efforts or adding new wire segments. No dice so I Jerry rigged it to clear the code and ensure the vent solenoid is operational. It worked and the solenoid works.

The master cylinder gave up in the 2005 CRV on Monday so I spent parts of yesterday and today replacing it. I also did the slave cylinder while it was open.

It turned out my dad had a number of tools I could have used and thought were at my place so I had to get creative a few times. Made some mistakes, took quite a while…but I got there.

'16 Tundra:
-front & rear brakes (Import Direct from O'Reilly)
-transfer case service with Amsoil Synchromesh
-front and rear diff service
-AB60F spill 'n fill w VML. The last time I did one of these I did the dance with tubing and a funnel from the engine bay, which is fine for DIY but a huge time suck on a lift. This time my Mityvac glorified garden sprayer made it painless

And of course has a fitting for direct connection to the fill port - so easy you almost feel guilty

There's a zillion ways to skin this cat but I found an old front pad slider pin retention clip works great to prop the t-stat open. I'll be keeping this one in my cart for future use ;)
