What are you working on today?

Monday
1992 Chevrolet Corvette 5.7 V8
Replaced both oxygen sensors, changed oil. Took much longer than it should have, the right side sensor was a booger to remove

Tuesday
2006 Dodge Charger 2.7 V6
Replaced alternator and serpentine belt, changed oil

1987 Chevrolet R10 5.0 TBI V8
Replaced alternator, replaced transmission mount, changed oil

Today I replaced the battery and terminals on a 2009 Ford Ranger. Currently waiting for pads and rotors for a 2012 Honda Odyssey

Changed the oil on my buddy's '14 370Z again today.

This time the rubber door mats under the baby 1.5" Vivo Home plastic ramps were perfect to stop the drive wheels from spitting the ramps across the concrete.

The little ramps are necessary to get my lift arms under the vehicle

My son’s 2013 F150, had to replace the heater core intake hose as it sprung a leak. OEM ford part cost $112. Took about an hour to replace.

Yesterday
2012 Honda Odyssey replaced front brake rotors and pads, rotated tires and changed oil

Today
1982 Chevrolet C10 305 small block V8
R&I oil pan, cleaned pan, replaced oil pump

1989 Chevrolet K2500 light duty 5.7 5 speed
Replaced clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder and hydraulic line with a prefilled/pre bled unit from auto zone, worked great, also changed oil

Air intake mounting on the LS430 - Took all day to gather up the necessary tooling; the rivet nut specs read that they fit into a 9mm hole. The hole needed to be larger than 10.5mm. I needed a reduced shank bit because of drill chuck limitations. Hardware store didn't have an 11mm bit; went with an 11.5mm.

Enlarging holes in sheet metal is a PITA; even when driving a RH bit LH to get it started. The holes are a bit oversized, but the rivet nuts hold fast. Long story short, got the rivet nuts set and the air intake installed.

Finished the starter on my sons 02 crv. Pretty lousy job. I thought when I did it 22 months ago I was set for the rest of ownership. Nope, thanks to a Made in China AC Delco starter. Didn't even want to warranty it. Went with a Denso this round. I really hope I'm not doing it again.

New 37's on the JL. I simply stayed with Yokohama MTs as I liked the first set. They're still stamped Made in Japan

I can pretty easily get the wheels on if the axles are near the ground but for my spare I use my hydraulic cart. Works great.

I modified the spacing on my homebrew TrailRax copy to take two Rotopax without locking them together. I don't fully see the advantages of interlocking except it's twice as hard for the wife to get water.

We're doing a major remodel on the kitchen and dining room. The builder arrives on Monday to start the demolition, so I've been busy clearing everything out with the help of some young neighbor kids. The goal is to make life a bit easier given my physical impairments.

I did mine from the top this year and it wasn’t bad at all. However, if I had a lift or a good, safe method of jacking it up, I’d try from the bottom too….
For a crv no jack is necessary, just lay on the ground. It is irritating working in the tiny area but so is breaking plastic clips removing the intake.

Polished the journals on my NOS Elgin camshaft I bought for my Pontiac. Will need lifters, valve springs, and a gasket set next. A little at time to not bust the fun money budget. Preparing for the camshaft change as a winter project.

Replaced the studs.. well it’s been a week long ordeal. Have a knack for ordering the wrong parts. Black was the originals I put in 2 years ago, those were messed up by junk lug nuts. Those were also too long I think. Ordered the longest ones from Amazon but wouldn’t tighten down. Got the short ones from lug nut guys and perfect. Tempted to change the remaining 12. Maybe the source of the vibration.

Scrubbed the carpet in the LS430. Just crappy pre-sale detail work. Crappy inspection on my part too.

This was under the paper throw away mat and the OEM carpet floor mat. Scrubbed both mats and the front foot well with Folex.

The dead pedal pad had some chewing gum like stuff on it. Came off with WD-40. This is about the best I could get. You need to wet with Folex and let it sit for a few minutes before scrubbing with a towel. Not doing to drive it until I get the trim-to-fit WeatherTech floor mats installed.

Also got the correct clips for the interior trunk trim and got that section complete.
