What are you working on today?

Amazing! It would take me four hours to remove the intake manifold and one belt driven accy. Add an hour just for the p/s pump!
Fortunately these newer ones have electric racks so don’t have to mess with any steering pumps.

I done a few things at work today. Couple brake jobs, oil changes and a flat repair. Sold a single tire too because someone had a flat with 3 pieces of metal in it.

Also installed these brand new Continental CrossContact LX25 on my 2008 Ford Escape as well. Love the ride and feel of them. They do amazing in the rain too as it started pouring when I left and these grip amazing. So much better than the Cooper Evolution ever did that’s what they replaced. Yes white letters on the outside. That’s a requirement for tires I buy.

Yesterday morning I got the drums turned for the 74 C10 and got them installed. Then I did a tire rotation and oil change on a 2019 Kia Forte. 2010 Chevrolet Impala got a blower motor resistor and repair harness.

Today I replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor button on a 1995 Chevrolet Silverado 5.7 V8.

Reconditioned seven 6L80E Valve Bodies (Sonnax Zip Kit) along with Sonnax reman TEHCM's for each.....Programed & Tuned.
For a local transmission shop....Owner doesn't like his guys messing with them & they don't do programming or tuning.

I also do them for a couple of his builders doing side work, If he found out I'm sure he wouldn't be happy about it as I have a feeling he's the type that's dong this as a gatekeeping maneuver against his builders.

Friday
2010 Ford F-150 4WD
Replaced left front wheel hub, replaced air filter, battery, rotated tires, changed oil

2015 Ram 1500 3.6 V6
Replaced thermostat, air filter, rotated tires, changed oil

1998 CRV: oil change, replaced rear washer pump. Discovered more lovely mostly dead ("To blave.....") Trakmotive CV boots. I installed this axle around April '23. Rear axle so don't blame motor mounts here.

Thanks for consistently using garbage boots Trakmotive! Really appreciate it!

Less than 2 years old? What a crock. I'd be steamed for sure.

And that was before tax! Haha. I would have politely declined as well. I had to try 5 different impact guns to even get 4 of them to budge because a tire shop had way over tightened them. Also had to use 22.5 socket on some then a 23 on the rest.
And I thought the $9 each 2 piece ones from Jeep Lug Bolts was bad enough. $55 shipped for full set of 1 piece ones from reputable place works for me.

Does the $18 each count labor to remove because of the damaged ones?

I’m mentally exhausted after our wonderful IT department last week. Just small stuff this week in between movies. Makeshift fender, hydraulic brakes and the biggest upgrade a cup holder for the scooter!

Silverado engine mount replacement.

Had to remove the starter to remove the passenger side which I had to remove the dipstick to pull the starter out of the way. Upon reassembly I lost the dipstick mount bolt. So onto the junkyard for a bolt and misc parts.

Some squarebodies at the junkyard. None of these trucks were in collisions.

Repairing this 8th Gen Civic cluster
The fuel gauge likes to flake out/invert

A quick touch up with the soldering iron got it right

Not running out of fuel on the BQE ⛽
Very demure, very mindful 👍

TBF it's the kids first car, and it's been this way for the duration of his ownership
Somehow he's never ran it out of fuel 🤷‍♂️

Someone has a teenage daughter, too, I see. I tried to explain what demure meant to mine. Didn't work.
