What are you working on today?

Sunday I changes the trans oil and filter as well as the engine oil on the 2015 F150 monday I greased and lubed the chains on the baler, tractor and the hay rake .

Did a little more last night on the Jeep. I dumped a bunch of paint on the floor and spread it around. At least I'll have a black floor now. Then spent an hour or so trying to weld all of the pieces of the driver's seat frame back together. It was wobbly for a while but I didn't realize that it was dangerous! Apparently the seatbelt wasn't attached to anything. I gave it some time to cool down so I'll be able to put the cushion back on tonight. If the paint is dried out I'll be able to set it in. But with the amount of paint I put on the floor, it may be a few days.

Truck got a good bath and then I touched up the Cosmoline underneath.

This has been a long drawn out process on developing a "sleeper" Connect. we've been attempting to isolated parts from the extinct Focus & Mazda 3. Systematically attending to each small project is the only way we can get this done without leaving the van in storage then install these upgrades over time. I can say we have a lot on the table at the moment and with the support of a few North American & Australian aftermarket part manufactures, we're slowly closing in on getting the van more complete.

For instance, today I just got word that the shop has finished cutting a 6''x6'' square hole in the rear passenger side molded panels. This is being used for an internally mounted spare wheel off a 2005 Thunderbird. We're looking into locating an adjustable spare tire mount typically used for offroad or ATV's then mounting this on the exposed steel wall of the cargo area, sliding over the molded panel then mounting up the balloon spare.

Not allowed to post images here, because I'm saving the images for my performance blog as requested by the supporting vendors

2020 KIA Forte. Front and rear brakes. Thank You KIA for making 3 different rear pads 🤬🤬🤬🤬

I ordered all 3, first box I opened was right one.

Female co workers car. Whoever designed/came up with rear calipers that you need special to rewind piston back into bore needs to be drawn and quartered. Unacceptable. Good part is she took me out for dinner, and we went to local ice rink to see her son hockey practice 🇺🇸🇨🇦

Replaced/reframed window with new interior/exterior trim in the house . Have one more to do just like it. There are 2 more in this room that are original but are exposed to. 3 season room, not directly outside. Not sure if I’ll get to those before winter or not. Original from 1954.

Love the undercoat! Wow, wish I could do that to mine! Franklin County PA...I have friends who live out that way...you get snow like I get snow here in Michigan!

Thanks! Truck has already been through a couple winters so it's holding up pretty good. I do keep it sprayed down in the winter though too. Recently put tires on it so it should be all ready!

I'm in the Mercersburg area and kinda out in the country so it can get pretty nasty! Got the truck and the Subaru so we're prepared. Ironically one of the neighbors down the road are from Michigan. They help take care of my neighbors grass and property.

Interesting Delta! I know all about that country it is beautiful. I have great friends who lived in Clarion County next to you, in St. Petersberg PA.
Oh for sure in the winter every chance I get I spray all the snow and salt off the whole car especially the undercarriage. I also detail my own car as long as the weather cooperates during the year.
In the picture it looks like you snow foamed the truck :)(y),...that is the best way to get all of the grime off of it, before touching it to wash it, it helps to avoid swirl marks on the paint.

2007 Saturn Ion 320450 miles.
Replaced lower control arms, outer tie rods and stabilizer links. Did driveway alignment with string and on test drive heard steering shaft noise so I lubed shaft. All quiet and straight. Also did oil change.
