Ah got it. Are they a decent transmission?Police interceptor explorer
Yeah that aren’t bad. They hold up pretty well to the abuse of police use. 6F35, 6F50,6F55 are all very similar and are used pretty much all fords front wheel/all wheel drive SUVs and cars. It’s also very similar to GMs 6T70 FWD 6 speed trans.Ah got it. Are they a decent transmission?
The 6T70? That surprise me. I mean I know GM and Ford collaborated on it, but I didn't know it would be good enough for police duty. My 2015 2.0 Turbo Malibu has a 6T70. It has been a nice transmission with easy to do drain and fills. So it is true you have to crack the case to get at the filter by the look of your photos.Yeah that aren’t bad. Harbor Freight is your friend for the 3/8 drive hex kit.Not much happening at work these days. Today had to repair a tire on a used car and broke my coworkers dead blow hammer hitting the wheel off. I was hitting the tire my boss said hit the wheel so I did and boom there went the plastic hammer flying into a million pieces leaving the metal core lol. And it doesn’t have a lifetime warranty so I told him I’ll buy him another one. Then done a couple oil changes and rotates to help those guys because they had a line wrapped around the building. Also done some brakes on a Ford Edge used car and now I found another tool I need an 11mm hex haha. I hammered in a 7/16 as it was a little too big but I wasn’t freezing my tail off to walk over to the Ford shop and ask for one.
Very nice write up and pictures.2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac valve cover gaskets/intake plenum gaskets. The valve covers were puking oil onto the exhaust manifolds and making that wonderful smell and beautiful smoke show. As you guys probably know, you do not do these Ford SOHC valve covers without removing and unplugging a ton of stuff. It’s not hard, just tedious. Sorry, no pics.
This afternoon, I did both rear wheel hub assemblies on a 2015 Nissan Rogue Select. It was fairly quick and easy because they weren’t rusted in place. I’ve dealt with plenty of rusty wheel hub assemblies (I’m looking at you Subaru), so I was thankful for these on a Friday afternoon.
I did snap a few pics since I had time and was winding down on a Friday afternoon. Cheers!

I always strike the wheel, not the tire, with a cheap rubber mallet and never a problem. A dead blow will give some rebound on a tire, will it not? I never tried. Not much happening at work these days. Today had to repair a tire on a used car and broke my coworkers dead blow hammer hitting the wheel off.
