What are you working on today?

Replaced the keypad and control display on the kitchen aid gas stove. Now the stove works again.

Spray painting a weight plate tree I bought last night.

Last weekend I did a light buff on the 2020 Camry for the first time to clean the paint and prep for sealant. I used Megs 250 final polish with a yellow pad and then finished it off with a coat of Klasse SG. Came out fantastic! It was a toss-up between Adams Ceramic or the Klasse. Today I will do the same steps on my 2014 Tacoma. Pics to follow.

Im working rare Sunday OT today. Currently dealing with a truck with a broken windshield wiper switch and I doubt the parts room has a spare in inventory.

Rear sway bar drop links and bushing's brackets with all new hardware, for Mercedes W124. One side is done, parts for the other side in the picture. Funny how bracket is more expensive $12 something than the drop link $11 something

Moving from portables to a whole house 20 KW genset.

With big AC and well pumps I needed a more solid setup. Last power outage was 2.5 days.

Tired of hoarding fuel and dealing with cycling out old gas, so went with a natural gas hookup - of course needed a bigger meter from the small 250 to a much bigger 630.

Also wanted something automatic after trying to walk through the family through the process - I grew up with all this, but its kind of a pain to remember and deal with - shut this off, flip that, hook this up,, let this or that....went with an automatic 200 AMP switch.

Gensets in driveway, pads in, gas is in, now time to hook it up.

Nice! I sell generators mainly Generac. They are becoming an essential piece of equipment in homes. Having the NG is perfect.

Pictures of detailing Cam a few weeks back for the first time. I used maguires 205 on a Porter Cable DA with a yellow pad on the lowest setting. It was then finished off with Klasse Super Gloss. I forgot how good the Klasse is. The thing is as slick as it gets. I used the same process on my 2014 Tacoma.

warranty claim on a hyundai gdi that ran out of oil. Needed to strip and document all damage, if the claim gets approved I will get a complete engine in pieces and need to assemble it. so order a crank and block then order bearings matching the crank class, headgasket etc...

Warranty approved, got a whole short block too. Everything but the cam cover, oil pan and some studs/nuts and bolts will be replaced.

I have no idea what you are talking about, but it sure sounds cool!

not yet.

Simply ran out of oil 16k miles after service (1 gallon sump), no leaks, no sweating. Pretty sure it has a leaky gdi injector which dumped fuel in the oil, thinning it and causing extra consumption and wear. Will see after starting the new engine if that's the case then replace the offending injectors.

Wow 16K after? Must be one of those extended oil change cars.
