Replacing auxiliary (after-run) water pump on my Dadwagon, a 2010 VW Passat, uh, wagon
. Love the car as it always gives me something to fix, do, or replace.

Why do the phasers stick?
Is that only 130k miles? What model year?Later on today, changing the water pump, rad hoses, drain the coolant and replace, serpentine belt, and its tensioner, on my girlfriends, mother's F150. Leaking water pump, so I offered to work on it, if she got me the parts.
As it 217,000 kms, I recommended the rad hoses, belt, and tensioner be changed.

Ok I should have guessed 5.0. That's the one engine where such early wp failure makes sense.View attachment 192982
2013, with the 5.0 V8, same as my 2014 has.
Not very motivated to work on it today, was out dancing last night until 1am.
No one on here is gonna believe ya.I was very impressed with the quality of both the OE pads and rotors, glad I went this route.
Ahh cornbread... Im a sucker for some good cornbread with lots of butter on itNeighbor brought over his hunting truck today for a little work.

Replaced spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor button, fuel filter and air filter. Changed oil. Got some extra cash and a fresh hot pan of homemade cornbread out of it.
Nothing like a warm piece of cornbread with a generous dab of butter on it. His wife makes some of the best I've ever had.
