Changed the blend door actuator on the
Caravan today. Location was in the passenger footwell. Didn't take any pics of the location inside. removal of the two screws is a total pain in the neck, especially the top screw.

Pics of the old on the left and new on the right. After I installed it, I went to start the van to get test the blower and actuator. I was getting no air coming out of the vents. Checked the fuse box etc and then realized I had to remove the wires for the blower motor resistor to get access with my hands.

Working like a champ now! Let's see how long this part lasts, they are a known weak point in these vehicles.

After I was done I decided to wash the vehicles.

Replacing the hazard wiring sub harness and making any associated repairs on my '72 Land Rover. On one of the last drives before the salt, I drive over a bump and hear a slight pop followed by smoke billowing from behind the gauge panel. The Tridon flasher base and inner workings had fallen out of its' case and landed, of course, contact down on the metal dash support. The hazards are unfused on these so the feed wire to the relay took the damage.

As bad as British wiring's reputation is, this was a modern flasher's fault...

I'd forgotten how much smoke a nice short generates :D

Finished the front end rebuild of my 65 F100. New radius bushings, new ibeam bushings, new drag link, new tie rod, new springs, bronze king pins, and all cleaned up. Last week installed a 1966 brake booster. This week the dual master so I can start the mockup of all new brake lines especially with rain gone and weather warmer.

Put 4 new batteries in a Kenworth T680. Also fixed the APU unit on it. It had a coolant leak because the last guy didn’t put a hose clamp back on the hose.
 
Mother in law called my wife and says the roof blew off the metal shed. Here we go more work when I just wanna watch NFL today.

Grabbed a ladder and some tools and found this. Previous tennant tried to make the roof water proof because it was leaking before. These are those cheap metal sheds. At least he used PL premium to glue the middle strip of wood and not pierce the roof with gasket type screws. Ripped off that broken piece and called it good for now.

Some people should not try to fix things....

All over the place today. Spent time washing some windows, cleaned up misc things laying around outside, cleaned out basement storage room to include about 75 light bulbs that I have removed over the years...cfl's regular, and a few led that I won't use. Put several items into storage in the garage loft. Set up bird feeder and put away hoses. Tomorrow I will change oil on one of my cars and clean up my work bench.
