What are you listening to right now?



Dire Straits (I'd never seen them in video, had no idea what they looked like, singer definitely does not look like his voice!) play incredibly well live. Led Zeppelin, same concert, were a letdown. Page looked high as a kite and the solo was kind of ass (quite unlike the guitar work by Dire Straits in the above video).

Their Money for Nothing video from mtv is classic. Loved it since the 80s

I really wish that I had gone to a Rush concert at some point! It’s not quite as heavy as the concerts I usually go to but I like a lot of their songs and have really learned to appreciate the talent of Neil Peart since his passing. Fun fact about him, he was born in the same city as my parents (Hamilton Ontario) and he grew up in Port Dalhousie, which is just a 20 minute drive from where I am staying this month.

I only got to see them in R40 but how much I cherish that special night.

We crossed over at Niagara Falls several years ago and went to Lakeside Park in Port Dalhousie where Neil worked as a teenager - nice place.
