Call me crazy, but I try to make the the first song I play on any new stereo equipment, almost as if it was a blessing/hymn of some sort.

The ones that I've done it have all exceeded my expectations as far as longevity is concerned. The ones that haven't "been blessed" in this matter, have all failed well before their expected life.

Silly superstition that seems to somehow work....
