I was listening to The Pretenders on Pandora the other night, and two B-52s songs came on in pretty close succession.
Ive never really paid attention to any of their music, but I was digging the harmony, so I have listened to the two below a few times now.
I never realized the metaphors and slang in this one until I listened closely. Dirty song if you want it to be. The fact that RuPaul is dancing in it is also funny, especially given the shot around 4 minutes, which I didnt understand when I first watched the video. Also was suprised to realize that the redhead (Kate?) was nearly 40 when this and the other one below came out!
And I like the scratchy vocals in the first verse plus the harmonies in this too.
Maybe not the best music from a technical standpoint, but a good little piece of Americana.
