What are you listening to right now?

For three guys that seemed to fight a lot, they made great music IMO. Well honestly, two of them fought a lot, Sting and Stewart, Andy just has to endure the young ones.

It is a very good album, I'm not too sure about that song "Mother", but other than that one, it's almost perfection. Synchronicity 1 and 2 are great songs with Synchronicity 2 being particularly haunting as it leaves you wondering what happens at the end.
Several of the songs on this album are coming from a dark place in Sting's mind because of a very bad divorce that he was going through if my memory serves. IMO, Sting has always been a great songwriter, but reading the lyrics to a lot of the songs from that album, it's obvious that he was going through something. A bad time for him gave us one of the greatest albums from the '80s. (y)

"Mother" is definitely an oddity on that album. Doesn't even sound like The Police. Imo it's them going back to their "punk" roots and slipping a weird punk song onto their final lp.
