I'm allergic to Cilantro. I don't mean that I don't like it or that I'm intolerant and it bothers my stomach. I mean real swelling of the tongue, throat, and bronchial passages allergic. Like a very bad asthma attack or bee sting requiring a shot allergic.
It wasn't a problem until the last 10 or 15 years that eveyplace wants to put it in everything. Don't go to Chipotle, they don't have anything I can eat. They get angry if you ask for no poison. :ROFLMAO:

Adult onset allergy or have you always had it? Adult onset allergies can be wicked bad based on people I know. My friend's wife suddenly became deathly allergic to corn of any kind at around 40. Just driving by a corn field can give her hives.

I used to hate the stuff. Tasted like soap. Slowly built a tolerance

Adult onset. I ate it up until about age 30. Cilantro wasn't common back then. You only found it in Vietnamese food or occasionally it was called Chinese Parsley. It wasn't in every Hispanic/Latino dish either.
Weird, but it happens. I worked with an engineer born in Vietnam that reacted the same way to peaches, of all things.

Allergies to stone fruits are pretty common.

That's no bueno! My nut hierarchy

Macadamias > pecans > almonds > walnuts > cashews > filberts > peanuts > Brazil
Macadamia nuts produce a shotgun blast burning hole in my chest

Pecans just give me projectile poop if I eat more than a few

Almonds fine

Walnuts ok under a certain amount

Cashews a few are ok but cooked in something or paste give me cramp and squirts

Filberts kinda ok small cramp

Peanuts ok

Brazil nuts no problem and I like them

This all started over 65 or so

All that chow and the only concern or comment is the cilantro!
