EVOO and ajika sprinkled on. Brought my BG up to 140, but a slow rise.It does indeed.

Aleppo pepper and/or sumac, lemon and yogurt are nice. So many delicious combinations.I like Zaatar, torn ham or some pork product (bacon lardons), cilantro, and a generous crowning of EVOO.

NOT authentic, LOL. Pass this way, please.Zaatar and pork!
Sounds somewhat similar to what the wife does for her Turkish soup. Lots of goodness incorporated early. The surprise to me was some potato. I'm lucky I didn't blow up completely! hahahahaha BUt yes the flavor was worth it.It works. I don't just sprinkle it on as an afterthought. It goes into the mirepoix I start things off with. Then go in the lentils and chicken stock. Finished soup gets the cilantro, EVOO, sometimes a squeeze of lemon.
