What are you eating right now?

Black coffee. This one was free because a kind stranger in the queue in front of me used his reward voucher to get it for free.

^^^ See any Budgies in the wild?
No budgies. I wasn’t paying a lot of attention but from memory today’s bird sightings were:
Rainbow lorikeet
Sulphur crested cockatoo
Little raven
Noisy miner
Spotted pardalote
Grey butcherbird
Magpie
Bronzewing pigeon
Crested pigeon
Fantail
Indian mynah (introduced species)

Years ago I worked with a bunch of dedicated Fish on Friday people and we'd go to little old restaurant for lunch. This place didn't serve meat on Friday. Fish sandwich, fish and chips, fish basket, broiled fish with sides, and if you didn't like fish they had grilled cheese and tomato soup. I kind of miss it.

The interesting thing about fish at the Legion yesterday was that their normal fish fry night is not Friday. It’s Thursday. I drove there on Thursday and there was a sign saying that the Legion was closed and the fish fry was changed to Friday. Turns out their furnace for the lower level had died. There is another Legion in St David’s, which is just ten minutes or so away from this one in NOTL and they do their fish fry on Friday. So the two Legions must have come to an agreement to hold their events on separate days (with yesterday being the exception because of the furnace)

Can you get that in Ontario Costcos?
Never seen it. Would love to try it.
Yes, you can, it's where I got mine. However, they are produced in small batches due to the exclusivity of the olive variety from the region of harvest (DOP/PDO). That being said, availability is inconsistent and only available until quantities last; I regularly go down the aisle to see what new harvest is being offered. Other varieties and regional olive oils in small batches appear from time to time, so checking frequently is key. I enjoy trying different EVOO and use the KIrkland 100% Italian EVOO to fill gaps (bottom link). This one is also from the same region as the one that @Pablo is using but currently OOS:

Have you ever been to the Oliv tasting room in downtown NOTL? They have the most amount of different flavors of olive oil that I have ever seen!

In Bellingham, almost to Canada.

Wife and I bought the large organic normal Costco olive oil (~$24US) for cooking uses and said what the heck and bought the Bari Bitonto for salads and raw use. It's good by any standard. $17.69US
I think the quality of the normal Costco extra virgin olive oil has gone down. It used to be 100% single sourced from California but now it's a hodgepodge from a half dozen countries.

This AM I had my two espressos, one was unusual though. Butter, EVOO, cream, vanilla and my non-patented sweetener. That was something very different, flavor and richness kind of unexpected. I thought the taste would be so nasty I would need to slam it. Excellent! My 24 hours is at noon (fast ending). So carb free semi deviation. Blood glucose unchanged.
