Another two omelet morning.
First omelet I ordered extra well done. When server delivered the omelet, it was uncooked in the middle. Walked the omelet back to the kitchen and informed cooks. They simply have no idea what they are doing, five-star hotel.
Walked to another restaurant in the hotel, and they did deliver a cooked through omelet.
It is really critical to have food cooked thoroughly here. Especially a product like eggs. Basic food protection handling standards are non-existent. Cooking foods area a way to mitigate the rampant unsafe food handling.
The indigenous people either don't eat foods Westerners eat, or have built immunity to the ever-present food borne pathogens.

just not so great plain...
. My post above was sarcasm but your reply says the pain is real. I remember that type of pain from appendix. Gallbladder issues keep me away from apples. Quick thought 
.. to travel to McMurdo Air Station Antarctica, you have to have all your extra parts removed like appendix and gallbladder
