Pablo, we would love to go out to eat on New Year's Eve or New Year's day. It is hard to justify, when making these dishes at home are so easy, and none of the risk of going out to eat
When I was a kid, "the old man" was at the restaurant, always, making sure everything was right. Restaurants today rarely have "the old man" making sure things are right.
Add in 20 percent plus gratuity, 10 per sales tax, and maybe the meal is not so good, just staying home and keeping it simple with good ingredients is my way of enjoyment of a meal.

Well, I had another bacon cheeseburger and a salad. Everything else would have been nutritionally speaking a worse choice. People here live off fries and deep-fried breaded onions with greasy dips. Two more days and I'll be back in more civilized lands. I can imagine what breakfast will be like. Rancher greasy this and that. CFS&eggs. When in Rome do as the Romans. But this isn't Rome!

I'm still in CA but out in the boonies where they eat what they run over and they drink their beer and then they eat the glass.
I can manage a bun. The ciabatta roll was not stale but one more burger and I am going to moo.
Sounds like my sort of place!

I actually didn't think my BG spiked too high after the feast and ate nothing the rest of the day and it came right back. I'll just keep it up!
