Looks like a feast! Which dish has the hoppers?
Looks like a feast! Which dish has the hoppers?
Jd, yes it was a feast, and as a platter would empty, a platter with new items would be replaced. Not my style nor desire, but a very stunning meal.Looks like a feast! Which dish has the hoppers?
Looks good to me. But then again, I am eating toaster waffles tonight!View attachment 172897View attachment 172898
“Fake” Chinese food as the people here would say. It’s amazing though. Perfect with a baseball game.
It's Gweilo but who cares?Looks good to me. But then again, I am eating toaster waffles tonight!
Why date syrup? I recognize that the syrup may be convenient and easy to use for certain items, but doesn't date syrup contain sugar, which it seems you're trying to reduce in your diet? I just checked and it seems that some date syrup brands don't contain added sugar.I had some curry chicken salad and zuch this AM
Hydration water (Potassium citrate in RO well water!)
Matcha tea
Chocolate coffee, half-half slightly sweetened with date syrup
No pics!
Headed out for 2-3 hours of pickleball, just like yesterday. It was super sweaty even in the early AM. Complete with mosquitoes.

FWIW, I sometimes use whole, dried Medjool dates to sweeten almond milk. I just drop a date or two into the blender with the other ingredients.
Is that all you do is eat?? And I thought I was a heathen
Your pics are so nice. Oddly when I click on them, they shrink rather than enlarge (sad face)Julia Child's Tuna Sandwich
Yesterday was Julia Child's birthday. This morning I enjoyed her well-known tuna sandwich, open-faced on an English muffin. Best Foods mayo, cornichons and capers (Julia generally used one or the other), a bit of sliced onion, green heirloom tomato, some lettuce leaves, a squirt of fresh lemon, and a generous sprinkle of white pepper. The muffin was toasted, of course.
