We had a layover at ORD a few weeks ago, and wife was craving a Chicago hot dog, alas, the only place selling them in our terminal was already closed. So, after returning home, I ended up making some for her... poppy seed bun, Vienna Beef franks, onions, yellow mustard, relish, tomato, pickle, sport peppers, and celery salt. I don't eat stuff like this anymore, but once in a while, why not? It did taste good. Sorry, no pic.

Bacon , eggs , and toast . I had a small meltdown over the bacon being cut in half because it’s one of my pet peeves but we are ok now. I’ve begged and begged to cook my own bacon but I can’t stay home long enough to do it. I just can’t stand this improper, unprofessional way of cooking bacon. If you want to make me angry that’s how you do it. Probably my biggest pet peeve besides someone messing up a seat cover.

I like my bacon cooked. That doesn’t qualify. I’ll usually take some ham “ends and pieces” I get cheap at smokehouse/family butcher and cook those instead of bacon.

Me and dad don’t care for crispy bacon. But everyone like’s different stuff. I’d much rather have ham than bacon too. Bacon has never really been one of those things I go out of my way to get. Sausage and country ham are my go to’s.

I do like bacon but I use it almost always as a flavoring agent in small quantities. It doesn't take much bacon to add flavor. Having said that I'll probably end up devouring a double-double bacon cheeseburger today.

Since rain cancelled my grilling plans we ended up at Golden Corral. The rain was supposed to hold off till 9:30 but that didn’t happen lol. So steak and beer day is tomorrow instead of tonight. Golden Corral wasn’t bad.

Lol. I’ve had crazier combos at Golden Corral like ice cream with ketchup and cantaloupe and then clam chowder and pepperoni. All of which didn’t lead to good results afterwards but I was a kid and thought it would be good LOL. I once had to scrub the floor in my parents car for days with multiple cleaners due to the aftermath of the pepperoni and clam chowder. Never again lol.

Lol. Supposedly was apple cobbler but I couldn’t eat it. It was disgusting tasted like sweet cardboard or something. I love apple cobbler like a little local restaurant used to have but this apple cobbler no good man. I could do the banana pudding and cookies though those get AutoMechanic approval but the nasty cobbler no.
