The usual with serving of Oatmeal with a banana & brown sugar. Ride prep

It's a fun 2hr 40mile blast never put a foot down gotta get in early before all thee traffic pics up. Mix of good climbing and flats around 2 area lakes. The ride is a great all around bike and fast uphill you just gotta lay the watts into it.

Aunt Bea’s BBQ. Never had it before. It’s in the town we were visiting for the Flea Market. That town is Hillsville Virginia. Very rural place in Carroll County VA. My dad got the bbq and it is delicious so I’m buying a sandwich to eat on the road too.

Venison stew over egg noodles. Venison seared in butter, caramilized onions, mushrooms, carrots, beets, beet greens, cranberries, Pinot Noir, stock, herbs, and spices. The burgundy color is because of the beets and because of the wine. It tastes better than it looks. I love venison.

Steaks for Memorial Day. With mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. I strongly prefer canned corn but the corn on the cob isn’t bad. We got the last pack of strip steaks at Sam’s Club. They had a pack of ribeyes but they had been dropped it looked like as the corners were smashed in and the plastic was coming off. They also had T-Bone which is one of my favorites but dad said no as there is only two in a pack. There is 4 in a pack of ribeye and strip.

Wife was working on a jury trial so I had to eat store bought eggs for a few weeks but she finally brought home a couple dozen farm eggs so I splurged and had a big breakfast Monday morning. These eggs were picked last Thursday, pretty darn fresh.
