What are you eating right now?

slumming it tonight going to make my bi-annual dinner of hamburger helper.

Got some 93% lean beef(was mispriced for half price ) and "crunchy taco" hamburger helper.

I usually prefer well drained 80% but at 5.49/lb for 80 vs 2.99 for 93% yea.
Complete meal with some fresh day old crescent rolls and a bag of frozen mixed veggies.

How do you prepare yours? Canned or dry?
I usually prepare my own legumes from dry. I soak them overnight in water with 1 to 2 TBS of raw apple cider vinegar (except lentils don't need the ACV), then I pressure cooked them for 10 or 15 minutes. This supposedly gets rid of most of the lectins. Black beans and white beans are my favorites.

No I know eggs are good for us.
Dr Berg on youtube and many others recommend eating 4 or 5 eggs per day. Usually eat 4 eggs per day.
Eggs are the best protein source of all foods, plus they contain good brain lipids like choline.
I'm not sure but eating lots of eggs might have been what improved my vision.
In 2007 the state of TN made me wear glasses when I drive, but eventually I could see better without them.

Nice. The reason I ask is, rocks are often found in dried lentils and can be challenging to fully remove. My wife uses canned but her mom cooks with dried.

I empty the beans slowly into a pan, checking them for rocks.
I haven't seen a rock in my beans in years. :)

I just made an open-faced portobello mushroom sandwich. A slice of Serial Killer Dave's bread topped with Swiss cheese, sliced ham, sautéed portobello slices, more cheese, and chopped green onion.
