Doc ordered me to lose 20 pounds; guaranteeing it would be difficult.

A 3,500 kcal intake deficit results in roughly a 1 lbs weight loss. Lets say you require 2,500 kcal to maintain your weight. If you cut just 500 kcal every day for one week, you will have lost 1lbs of after one week. Most people can but just won't do this by cutting down o carbs. You must avoid cutting calories too aggressively because that will put your metabolism into starvation mode and you may metabolize muscle tissue rather than the fat reserves. Your body regards all body fat as reserves, no matter if you already have enough, and it will try to hold on to all fat reserves if food gets scarce. Eat only an hour or two after you get hungry but don't wait till you almost pass out. Losing 20 pounds in 20 weeks is very doable just via diet. Adding physical activity will help maintain or gain muscle strength and muscle mass and accelerate your metabolism. More muscles also require more energy, so you will burn off more calories.

Root Beer Float. We have a small custard stand here that supports special needs people and they have amazing custard. Their son went to my moms school so I don’t mind supporting them. Very good place. Best root beer float I’ve ever had.

Nothing but omelettes and pancakes, slabs of meat, and buckets of cruciferous veggies for the last few days here. Plus the usual squirrel and bird food. I should be hitting 210lbs in a week, coming up from a slightly scrawny 190. I've also cut down on running by half and instead I ride the bike every other day. Not that I have flamingo legs or anything. Tonight I'm having thinly sliced and sautéed beef with Korean sauce, bitter melon, and some rice. The bitter melon is not for everyone. AM would shrivel like a salted slug after one bite. 🐌 :eek:

100% VEGAN chocolate pancakes. All natural.. :D
I recently found out that hemp protein powder, if used as a substitute for flour, will give pancakes a distinct chocolate flavor. Hemp powder is now a main ingredient in my low-carb, high protein pancakes. If you mix your own batter you may want to try adding hemp protein powder.
 
The drink.

5 lbs of carrots = 6 🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕 8 oz glasses for 3 days 2 glasses per day ;) I do this once a week. So if you think about it I consume 20 lb of carrots a month or 240lbs of carrots per year. All just me.
